Tafseer-ul-Qur’an (Translation & Interpretation)
The Tafseer-ul-Qur’an course is a comprehensive academic program aimed at developing a deep, structured, and scholarly understanding of the Holy Qur’an. The course goes beyond basic translation and focuses on interpretation rooted in classical Tafseer literature while addressing contemporary issues.
Objectives
- To enable students to understand the Qur’an directly through reliable translations
- To study classical and contemporary Tafseer methodologies
- To connect Qur’anic guidance with personal, social, and ethical life
Content
- Word-by-word and thematic translation of selected Surahs
- Detailed Tafseer based on classical scholars (Ibn Kathir, Qurtubi, Tabari, etc.)
- Asbab-un-Nuzool (context of revelation)
- Qur’anic principles of faith, law, morality, and society
- Application of Qur’anic teachings in modern life
Duration
- 6 to 12 months (modular system)
- 2–3 classes per week
Eligibility
- Basic Qur’an reading ability recommended
- Open for men and women
